The city of Porto has the best 5g network in Europe, regarding quality of experience e speed. The capital Lisbon, stands out reliability of its 5G networks, with a rate of 99.63% of successful online sessions.
According to the latest Medicspecializing in measurement and benchmarking of mobile networks, the two Portuguese cities, along with Stockholm and Copenhagen, shine in the various categories of performance of the fifth generation mobile networks.
The report, which will be presented in Barcelona, shows the Porto in the first place on the podium, regarding the quality of experiencetied with Stockholm and followed by… Lisbon, and Copenhagen.

Along with Denmark, Portugal also stands out in availabilitywith registration rates of 87% verified in the cities of Porto and Copenhagen.
“Lisbon, Porto and Stockholm have the most consistent 5g speeds,” reads the report. Lisbon and Porto are co-leaders at download 5g speeds. Porto has peaks over 800 Mbps in the fastest sessions. Lisbon reaches an average of download greater than 504 Mbps. Stockholm occupies the first place at 5G upload speeds (116 Mbps).
Given the sharp differences at speeds, the report divides the cities analyzed into two categories. Porto – and Stockholm – lead the second category that evaluates the impact of 5G on gaming and streaming services experienceswhile Berlin and Munich govern in the first category.
The report also points to the fact that users remain linked to 4G networks for a quarter of time (25%).
