Have you heard the new episode of the ‘Innovators League’? António Costa Silva, Isabel Rocha and Ricardo Paes Mamede identify the improvements recorded in the innovation ecosystem in Portugal in recent years and the flaws that must be collected

The innovation ecosystem in Portugal has been improving and there are many examples of new and relevant ideas that are marking the agenda in different sectors, but there are still important flaws to resolve to make the country in an innovation nursery – and some go through decisions made at European level.

Neuraspace, in space businesses, SoundParticles, in the sound of three dimensions, Caetanobus, in the buses of hydrogen, and A. Sampaio and children, in textile are four examples of innovation that have passed through the Express Podcast ‘League of Innovadores’. In the fifth episode, we were talking to António Costa Silva, who was Minister of Economy between April 2022 and April 2024 and was many years linked to the world of companies, in the presidency of the Partx; Isabel Rocha, vice-rector of New University and professor in innovation; and Ricardo Paes Mamede, professor at ISCTE and who coordinated the assessment of the impact of European funds on qualification, innovation and internationalization.

The three make up the ‘League of Innovators’ curators council, helping to organize ideas, mislead doubts and hierarchize choices and joined to reflect on what innovation is, to what extent Portuguese companies are innovative and the role of public policies. Each also lists the largest business innovation of recent decades in Portugal.

The podcast that tells us what is innovative and differentiator is being done by companies in Portugal. In the “League of Innovators”, Elisabete Miranda and Pedro Lima talk to managers, directors and professionals who tell us stories that have conquered the market and contribute to the economic transformation of the country and its image. They tell us about the victories that have brought them here, but also about anxieties, the envy, the managers they admire, the professionals they have, and the profiles they need to hire. Every week on Wednesdays.
