Workers say they are unwilling to return to work until they receive salaries overdue. “They are owing salaries and the boss does not even appear at the factory, nor does it face the situation,” accuses one employee.
The Zenaide Textile Confection Factory is on strike with 86 workers to require the payment of background salaries and the recognition of their rights. The employees, who feel wronged and disrespected, claim that the fight will continue.
According to the workers, the situation reached this point due to the management of the former boss, who left the factory in financial difficulties.
“Then came another boss, who bought a quota from the company, but did not appear to resolve the situation. They are due to salaries and he does not even appear in the factory, nor gives the face to resolve the situation,” laments Maria Alzira Carvalho.
Workers say they are not willing to return to work until they receive salaries in delay.
“We are not willing to come to work without receiving. We had to fight for our rights,” they say.
