16 -year -old was arrested in the act; State Government promises safety plan for health facilities
A 16 -year -old broke into a hospital and shot a patient on Sunday night (2.mar.2025) in Fortaleza. The case took place at IJF (Dr. José Frota Institute), unit of the municipal network located in the center of the capital of Ceará. The teenager was arrested at the scene.
According to the SSPDS (Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense), the victim was a 32 -year -old man who was responsible for drug trafficking and joining a criminal organization. The perpetrator of the shots was also investigated by police for infringing acts analogous to drug trafficking and theft crimes.
The teenager will be investigated for the crime analogous to willful murder. After being arrested, he was taken to the DCA (Child and Adolescent Police Station) of Fortaleza.
The Governor of the State, (PT), said in a publication on social networks that the criminal and the victim were “rivals”. Stated that he sought the mayor of the capital, (PT), in order to elaborate a safety plan for health facilities, including the installation of an IJF facial recognition system.
