Iran plans to open a direct airline from Tehran to Bratislava. During the starting visit of u President of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK) Petr Mihók This was said by the new extraordinary and authorized ambassador of the Iranian Islamic Republic to Slovakia based in Vienna Assadollah Eshragh Jahromi. Bibiána Gunišová, the SOPK press secretary on Wednesday, informed about it.
The chairman of the SOPK and the Iranian Ambassador spoke about the possibilities of extending commercial and economic cooperation between Slovakia and Iran. “In Slovakia, we are aware of the restrictions that currently exist in terms of international rules, trafficking with Iran, but at the same time we think that the Iranian market is interesting for many Slovak entities and it would be a pity not to use it,” Mihók said.
The Iranian party is also interested in Slovak investments in Iran. According to Mihók, the SOPK will address this issue, because when the tension and international situation around Iran will be relaxed, it will be good when Slovak entrepreneurs are ready for the possibility of developing trade and investment with Iran.
According to the SOPK, the tourism area is very promising, and Iran is already an interesting destination for many Slovak travel agencies. On the other hand, Iran shows interest in the possibility of using spa treatment in Slovakia. “The new Iranian ambassador also wants to visit individual regions in Slovakia to get acquainted with their potential and to interpret information about the possibilities that the Iranian market provides,” concluded the SOPK.
