Acre has the lowest percentage of women entrepreneurs in Brazil, according to the Brazil in mapsplatform that discloses several surveys on the states of the country.
The survey, referring to the year 2024, was released this week alluding to the month of women.
Brazil has 10.4 million women entrepreneurs and business owners. “The national percentage is 34% in relation to the total of entrepreneurs and workers on their own, formal and informal,” says the survey.
In Acre, only 25% of entrepreneurs are women – the lowest proportion among states. The largest percentage is recorded in Rio de Janeiro, with 39%.
States with more than 35% of women entrepreneurs include Ceará and Santa Catarina, both with 36%. The current 34% represent a 33% growth compared to ten years ago.
“The disparity between genders highlights the still unequal reality in business. Regarding the 66% of men entrepreneurs, there is a difference of 32 percentage points between genders, ”concludes the study.
