US President Donald Trump said on Saturday (27) that Iran “will cease to exist” if it violates the ceasefire once again.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump accused Tehran of violating the agreement, stating that Iranian action resulted in attacks by the US Armed Forces on Iranian missile and drone storage sites on Saturday night.
The American president added that there may come a time when the United States will be “forced to finish militarily the work we began so successfully.”
Trump’s publication comes hours after CENTCOM (US Central Command) stated that the United States Armed Forces carried out more attacks against Iranian targets in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on the social network X, CENTCOM stated that the attack took place after Iran launched a drone that hit a Panamanian-flagged oil tanker this Saturday morning.
The US military reported that military aircraft targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities and mine-laying capabilities.
The transit of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz should continue normally, the statement added.

Iranian authorities have not commented on the attacks.
The action comes after the US carried out attacks in the Strait of Hormuz region on Friday (26), targeting Iranian missile and drone storage sites, as well as coastal radar installations.
Tension in Hormuz
On Thursday (25), Iran attacked a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to American authorities, an Iranian drone hit the Singapore-flagged container ship Ever Lovely, in the first attack on a vessel since the signing of the agreement.
US President Donald Trump classified the action as a “senseless violation” of the agreement signed between the two countries.
In response, American forces carried out attacks on Iranian military installations near the strait.
According to CENTCOM (US Central Command), aircraft hit missile and drone depots, as well as coastal radar installations used by Iranian forces.
Following the American bombings, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed to have launched attacks against United States military positions in the Middle East.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry accused Washington of violating the memorandum of understanding. The American military, however, did not confirm Tehran’s attacks.
A US official told CNN that Iranian drones were detected but did not reach their targets.
Meanwhile, Bahrain, which is home to an important American military base, reported having been targeted by Iranian drones during the early hours of Saturday (27), classifying the action as a violation of its sovereignty.
