Bolsonaro quotes Trump to mock complaint at the STF – 13/03/2025 – Power

Former President () referred to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, Germany, Venezuela and the World Bank to mock on Thursday (13), president of the first class of (Supreme Federal Court), to mark this month the trial that can make him defendants for the attempted coup in 2022.

Bolsonaro published on social network X (former Twitter) early in the evening of Thursday.

“An inquiry full of problems and irregularities against me and 33 others is going to trial in just 1 year and 1 month (February 8, 2024 to March 25, 2025). It’s impressive!” He wrote.

The Supreme Court will analyze on March 25 if Bolsonaro and the other accused will become defendants, which does not mean that they will be tried now, as the former president states.

“It seems that due process of law, around here, it works at the speed of light. But only when the target is first in all polls for the President of the Republic in the 2026 elections,” he added.

Before referring to his specific case, Bolsonaro first quoted, and marked on the social network, US President Donald Trump.

“In the US, the persecution against @realdonaldtrump and the ridiculous accusations of” insurrection “took almost 5 years to be converted into a formal denunciation – then they were reduced to powder by the sovereign choice of the American people,” Bolsonaro wrote that “everything went in the first instance, with a brief consultation with the Supreme Court on constitutional matter.”

He then mentioned that a case of suspicions about a group accused of planning a scam in Germany in 2022 “continues to be processed in the first instance and should take years until he is closed.”

“But in Brazil, which has the 30th slowest justice in the world, according to the World Bank,” continued the former president, “the most expensive judiciary in the world, according to several sources; that is not even among the 70 best in the global ranking of law; and that only surpasses Venezuela in impartiality …”, said, mocking the speed of the process.
