“Memories are stored in a much more abstract way in humans than in other animals. We can think of concepts or anything else in more abstract terms, regardless of the context in which we learn them, ”explains Quian Quiroga, who points out this as one of the possible “Fundamentals of Human Intelligence”.
“This capacity allows us to make much more abstract and complex associations and inferences than if we are forced to think of each concept within a specific and concrete context,” he says.
