A 52-year-old man died this Friday in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz, 25,773 inhabitants) as a result of gunshot wounds in the town’s Rafael Alberti square, after 3 p.m. National Police sources have informed this newspaper that the deceased is Matías Corraliza Fernández, the real name of the flamenco singer Matías de Paula, known in the musical scene of the province, but who had also performed outside his community.
