The short and successful care of the Czech singer, guitarist and composer Jiří Schelinger ended tragically in Bratislava on April 13, 1981, a month after his thirties. His promising singing career ended his death under completely unexplained circumstances. According to the available information, they wrote that after the shooting of the music program of the TV Club of Youth, the Great Franciscans had anchored in the wine bar.
From there later with a bunch of acquaintances were to move to Šafárikovo Square and end up to Old Bridge, where they were to try their skills by walking on the railing and jumping into the Danube. Schelinger either did not survive his leap or lost consciousness after falling into the water and then drowned. They found it only after three weeks near the village of Bodíky.
The body of a drowned man at a considerable stage of decomposition was not identified by no one and rumors began to spread throughout Czechoslovakia that he had only pretended to emigrate abroad or tighten into seclusion. Was officially declared dead. The date of his death is April 13, 1981. The day since he was missing. There were also versions of suicide, but not having many reasons, added Bratislava newspapers.
Jiří Schelinger Sa was born 6. Marc 1951 in Bousov in the Chrudim district. He grew up in the family of a classic guitar teacher in the Prague district of Nusle along with the year younger brother Milan. He founded his first Nothing Buting group at elementary school, playing guitar in it. The first role models for him were Americans Ray Charles and Otis Redding. For three years, he learned to play piano and guitar in the Folk School of Art. He did not finish the school where he was preparing for the installer’s profession. For several months he was a backdrop at Jiří Wolker Theater.
His singing steps after eighteen are associated with the Prague bar groups Smerald, Majestic and The Happy Five. Here he was found by Karel Arrow and offered him a singer in the group of Faraon.
He recorded with her Schelinger and the first well -known songs of the wires knitting, shoes in Děravý, René, I and Rudolf and his first big hit pigeon dům. The author of the music for this popular song is Jaroslav Uhlíř, the text was written by Zdeněk Svěrák, who, however, had to reach for pseudonym for political reasons during the coming normalization.
In 1974, Schelinger went to the group of František Ringo Čech. Schelinger played in the music films Romance for the Crown (1975), the blockbuster (1980) and in the television comedy of the suitcase full of Naději (1977). He sang the title songs for HOP movies and there is a lidoop and some of this data is spinach, both films premiered in 1977.
