Commentators José Eduardo Cardozo and Caio Coppolla discussed, this Thursday (3), in The Great Debate (Monday to Friday, at 11 pm), if the bill that amnesty those involved in the acts of January 8 has the strength to be approved.
A. PL leader Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ) stated that the change seeks to circumvent the guidance of the president of the house, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), so that leaders would not sign the application.
Last Monday (31), PL leaders calculated 309 signs of support for the merit of the proposal. The intention of the bench is to gather the necessary support-257 signatures, the absolute majority of the House-until next Thursday (10).
Cardozo argues that no one can say for sure how many votes are in favor of the project.
“The feeling that gives me is that there is no such one of the 309 votes, otherwise they would not be doing this situation of urgency which is precisely to make a calculation of voters and accelerate the processing. Therefore, it is difficult to say, perhaps not even the leaders know exactly, what number of people were aligned with the position of their own parties,” he said.
“I think this project is another political discourse that aims to keep the idea that are innocents who articulated a coup d’état on January 8,” he continued.
For Coppolla, the possibility of STF acting politically to prevent the advancement of the project that amnesty those involved in January 8 needs to be investigated, since “the Constitution prevents, prevents or at least should prohibit that STF judges, judges and ministers have any kind of political party action.”
