The Deputy Secretary of Sports of the city of Boqueirão (PB), José Edvaldo Cordeiro, 35, was shot dead last Sunday (6) in a bar in the municipality, located about 165 kilometers from João Pessoa.
The crime occurred when the victim participated in a celebration and was surprised by the criminals, who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle. The individuals fired several times against José Edvaldo.
The Military Police were fired and searched in the region, but those responsible for the murder were not found. The case is being investigated by the Paraíba Civil Police.
According to the information raised so far, José Edvaldo would have no involvement in conflict.
Boqueirão City Hall issued a note highlighting Edvaldo’s “dedication and contribution” to the development of the sport in the municipality and decreed an official three -day mourning in honor of the server.
