Titanic passenger objects go to auction in the United Kingdom

Historical items, including a passenger clock, will be offered at an event scheduled for April 26

The auction house in the United Kingdom has announced that it will auction belongings of victims of Titanic on April 26. Among the objects offered is a silver and brass pocket watch, valued at over $ 380,000.

The item belonged to the passenger Hans Christensen Givard. His body was found in 1912 next to belongings such as a savings account, keys, money in a wallet, a compass and a passport.

In addition to the Givard clock, the auction will feature other items found on Titanic. Among them, a letter and a 1st class Swedish passenger medal Erik Gustaf Lind, a silver certified dollar and a 3rd class passage from Ernest Portage Tomlin.

The auction house is known to have already offered other objects from the ship. A violin used in the 1997 movie about Titanic wreck, estimated at about $ 465,000, will also be offered.
