Perpetrator of the crime studied in the same college as the victims and was arrested; Young man was depressed and said he liked Hitler
A high school student was killed and three other students were injured on Thursday (24) after being stabbed by a colleague at the Notre Dame de Toutes Aides, in Nantes, west of. At about 12:30 pm local (7:30 am in Brasilia), the student armed with a knife attacked the four colleagues before being dominated by teachers and later arrested, according to the first investigation data. The street leading to the place where the attack happened was isolated by security forces.
According to a school student, the young man was known to be depressed. “He said he loved Hitler. He sent a 13-page email to everyone explaining his problems at noon,” he added. She said she was in the cafeteria when they warned that students had been stabbed. “We asked us not to leave for twenty minutes and then confined to one court. We stayed for a long time there, but we called our parents to reassure them,” he said.
One student shared the young man’s manifesto, where he mentions that “globalization converted our system into a human -destroying machine,” claiming a “biological revolt so that the natural, though cruel balance, recovers its place in the face of globalized ecocide.”
In a statement, the prime minister appealed to a “collective awakening” in the face of the “endemic violence” that affects “part of our youth.” The head of government has also requested that “concrete proposals are presented to prevention, regulation and repression” centered on “violence committed by minors with white weapons”.
