A fire that occurred on Saturday, April 26, caused significant damage to the electrical part of a water and sewage service of the state of Acre (SaneaCre) in Rodrigues Alves. The incident resulted in the interruption of water supply in neighborhoods of the city.
According to information released by SaneAcre, the fire reached the Poço electrical system responsible for supplying the neighborhoods Dário Pereira and Manoel Gomes, compromising all its functionality.

In a statement signed by the municipality’s director of operations, Alan Ferraz, SaneAcre reported that maintenance teams have already been fired and work to solve the problem. A new electric assembly is expected to be installed by next Tuesday, April 29, when drinking water supply should be restored in affected neighborhoods.
“The fire has been controlled, but damaged the entire system. Maintenance teams of the municipality have already been called and it is expected that the new electric assembly will be installed by next Tuesday, 29, when the supply of drinking water will be returned to the quoted neighborhoods,” the note details.
SaneAcre did not disclose information about the possible causes of the fire. Residents of the Dário Pereira and Manoel Gomes neighborhoods should prepare for the period of water supply interruption and monitor the municipality’s updates on the restoration of the service.
