Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is still admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at DF Star Hospital in Brasilia, with no forecast of discharge.
Last Sunday (27), Bolsonaro’s medical bulletin said he is clinically stable and has progressive improvement of liver laboratory tests.
However, the former executive chief is not performing oral food and is receiving caloric and nutritional support by intravenous pathway.
“Gastroparesis (stomach emptying retardation) persists, however, showed initial signs of spontaneous intestinal movements, but still without oral feeding conditions or through the gastric probe,” the hospital said.
Bolsonaro is also performing motor physiotherapy and receiving “venous thrombosis prevention” measures, according to the report.
He has been hospitalized since April 11, when he got sick during an agenda in Rio Grande do Norte. Transferred to Brasilia, he was submitted on April 13 to extensive surgery for intestinal clearance and has been in the hospital ICU ever since.
