The Minister of (Supreme Federal Court) asked on Tuesday (29) that the lawyers of the former president explain the lack of examinations related to the diagnosis of Parkinson of the former president.
Moraes gave a period of 48 hours for the defense to present full of Collor exams, including those of image. The minister wants to analyze the documents to decide on the request for house arrest for the former president made by the lawyers.
The minister on Monday (28) that lawyers prove within 48 hours that the former president has Parkinson, Bipolarity and Grave Sleep Apnea, as they said. The medical documents were presented, but Moraes today asked the full exams.
The minister mentioned on Tuesday the absence of exams performed on the diagnosis of Parkinson de Collor and asked for explanations. “Clarify the lack of exams performed from 2019 to 2022, indicative and related to Parkinson’s disease,” he wrote.
Collor has been in prison since Friday last week, by decision of Moraes. He ordered the former president to serve the penalty of 8 years and 10 months for corruption and money laundering in a Distribuidora scheme between 2010 and 2014.
On Monday, the Supreme Court concluded the trial to endorse the decision, maintaining the arrest of the former president.
Ministers Flávio Dino, Edson Fachin, Luis Roberto Barroso, Cármen Lúcia and Dias Toffoli voted with Moraes. Already André Mendonça, Luiz Fux, Gilmar Mendes and Nunes Marques voted for release. Cristiano Zanin declared himself prevented, as he usually does in processes linked to Lava Jato.
