O NotebookLMFrom Google, it has been available this week in more than 50 languages, including European Portuguese.
The functionality allows you to introduce texts and sources into chatbot and turn them into a virtual “podcast” driven by two voices generated by artificial intelligence (IA).
Contacted by, Google has confirmed that the functionality has been available in Portuguese since Tuesday to any version of Notebooklm. A quick tool test shows that AI’s “conversation” is led by a female and one male voice, being the result of the very realistic dialogue, with informal expressions and interruptions.
The company reports that audio summaries are generated in the language chosen by the user’s account, and that functionality also accepts sources in different languages. In addition, it is possible to change the predefined language in the tool definitions.
It is important to stress that Gemini also began to support the conversion of text searches to audio conversations, but this functionality is not yet available in Portuguese in the Google assistant.
How to create podcasts on notebooklm
Notebooklm is an AI that acts as a chatbot, but provides responses based solely on the information the user offers. You can send PDFs, scientific articles, web pages and even YouTube videos for analysis.
To use it, go to Notebooklm and create a new folder. Then add content to the popup that appears on the screen. On the right, go to the “in -depth talk” window and click “Generate”. Then just wait and listen to the podcast you created on the subject of your documents.
Notebooklm lets you unload or share the audio conversation. In addition, it is possible to modify the predefined output language in platform settings.
