The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann (PT), said on Sunday (4) that the proposal for the end of the 6 × 1 scale will be one of the priorities of the government with the National Congress.
In a publication on social networks, the minister stated that the issue will be debated in the pertinent commissions of the Chamber with involvement of society, and argued that it is possible to advance with dialogue and political decision. “More jobs, development and justice for workers is what we need to promote,” he said.
The measure refers to (PSOL-SP), filed in February this year, which proposes the replacement of the current six-day workday and one rest with a four-day work model and three of time off (4 × 3 scale), weekly load of up to 36 hours and a daily limit of 8 hours.

Despite the popular appeal, the proposal faces resistance from part of Congress and the business sector, which fears increasing operating costs. The National Confederation of Commerce (CNC), for example, has already positioned itself against change.
