A resident of Montana (US), Kallie Phillips, a 26-year-old mother with three children and blogger, woke up one morning and saw a snake right in the kitchen.
It was already the eighth reptile that appeared in a single week.

Americanca said that since they moved to the farm house, the snakes rarely appeared and only one, but this year their number has increased ten times. Under the terrace at the entrance, the spouses discovered a real nest-a burrow in which, it seems, the reptiles lived and multiplied for several years, gradually filling the space under the floor. This is also confirmed by the frequent appearances of the snakes in the house: one of them literally “happened” Kallie in the morning in the kitchen-the eighth in just a week.
Kallie’s husband, Chase, is working on a local farm, and the house was offered as part of the employment contract.
“Moving is impossible. Without this house, we could not hold cows, take care of horses and lead our lifestyle. It is our only home and our only source of income,” explains Phillips.
The family began a “heroic struggle” with the invaders: they clogged all the cracks through which the snakes could enter, installed traps, use insulating foam and try to block all the possible access paths. However, in the rural areas of Montana, it is difficult to quickly call a deratization company, and most specialized services serve only the big localities.
Tiktok users were not indifferent: the video has gathered thousands of comments. Some were joking proposing to burn the house and “leaving the snakes”, while others expressed their concern for children’s safety.
“The fact that people are worried more for snakes than for three young children is alarming,” a user wrote.
Phillips states that he did not share the story for fame, but to receive real advice and support.
“I was hoping that someone would know how to get rid of these snakes. But most of the tips are reduced to: sell the house and run,” she noted.
