The starts on Monday (26/5) the return of values to all retirees and pensioners who suffered some associative monthly discount on the payroll for April.
The beneficiaries will receive a reimbursement in a total of R $ 292 million. The return will occur jointly to the regular payment of benefits, from May 26 to June 6 (See calendar below).
According to the INSS, the values will be returned automatically and it is not necessary for the retiree or pensioner to take any action.

The values, it is worth remembering, were retained by determination of the INSS since the end of last month. After the Federal Police () triggered an operation that aimed the improper discounts, the INSS determined the suspension of all such discounts.
As the payroll for April was already closed, discounts were still made in payments made between April 24 and May 8. The INSS, however, retained these values and did not pass the amount to associative entities.
According to the agency, the exact date of the return depends on the benefit value and the last number of the benefit number (NB) – without considering the verifier digit, which appears after the trace. Check out the calendar:

INSS scandal
The INSS scandal was revealed by Metropolis In a series of reports published from December 2023. Three months later, the portal showed that the collection of entities with retired monthly discounts had fired, reaching in a year, while associations responded to thousands of processes for fraud in insured affiliations.
The reports of Metropolis They led to the opening of an inquiry by the Federal Police (PF) and supplied the findings of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU).
In total, 38 portal articles were listed by the PF in the representation that gave rise to the operation without discount, triggered on 4/24 and culminated in the layoffs.
