The president of the United States, Donald Trump, signed an emergency statement for natural disaster to meet the floods in Texas, where the number of deaths – finished this Sunday in 68 – continues to increase as the search and rescue work advances.
“These families are cooling an unimaginable tragedy, many lives have been lost and many more are still missing,” the president wrote in his Truth platform account.
The decision allows the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to activate in the area to support local and state authorities, according to the Secretary of National Security (DHS), Kristi Noem, in a statement.
