Complaint of 219 pages against Candace Owens presents’ extensive evidence ‘that Brigitte was born a woman, was always a woman,’ said lawyer Tom Clare
A lawyer from the presidential couple said they will request a “substantial” compensation from American conservative influencer Candace Owens if she continues to say that the wife of French President Brigitte is a man. The lawyer, Tom Clare, said in an interview with CNN that a defamation action filed on Wednesday, 23, by the macrons in a court of Delaware (USA) was “really one last appeal” after a year of fruitless efforts to dialogue with Owens and ask her to “do the right thing: tell the truth and stop spreading these lies.”
“Every time we did that, she mocked the Macron, mocked our efforts to clarify things,” Clare said. “It was enough, it was time to blame it.” Macron have been married since 2007, and Emmanuel Macron has been president of France since 2017. The 219 -page complaint against Owens has “extensive evidence” that Brigitte Macron “was born a woman, was always a woman,” said the couple’s lawyer.
“We will present our indemnity for damage to the trial, but if it continues to insist between now and the moment of judgment, it will be a substantial compensation,” he said. In Paris, the presidential office made no immediate comments.
