The University of Algarve has announced that it will coordinate the 22nd edition of the Polyenterprise Contest, the largest national initiative of entrepreneurship in polytechnic higher education.
According to the institution, “the contest promotes the creation of ideas and business plans, encouraging innovation, companies and regional development, involving students, graduates, teachers and external partners”.
The “Polyenterprise Flag was passed to the University of Algarve at the 21st edition of the contest, which took place between September 1 and 5 at the University of Aveiro”, underlines Ualg.
Promoted “by a network composed of polytechnic institutes, non-integrated higher schools and polytechnic schools of Portuguese universities”, the contest “unfolds in two phases: regional, where each institution promotes training workshops and chooses the most promising and national projects, in which the regional winners compete with a national jury for the main awards”, explains the university.
Na, “the initiative is promoted by the Crea – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer, which has played a key role in the connection between the academy, the business fabric and society,” says Ualg.
