Avoid synthetic perfumes, get control of the composition and enjoy the process of creation itself. How to make an aroma lamp or a candle at home
You can assemble your own aroma lamp without special tools. The basis is a classic ceramic candlestick on a tea candle, ideally the one with openings for air access. On it you place a small glass or ceramic cup that heats up with the candle flame. Just drip a few drops of essential oil into it or add water with fresh or dried herbs. Lavender, mint, rosemary or thyme: just choose according to the smell or effect you expect.
Begin first by choosing a container, ideally glass or ceramic, which can withstand high temperatures. At first, attach the wick to the container using a self -adhesive pad or wax. Then prepare wax, preferably soy or bee, and dissolve it in a water bath. As soon as the wax temperature reaches about 85 ° C, stir in it: lavender, citrus, eucalyptus or a combination of your imagination. Allow the wax to cool slightly and pour it into a prepared wick container.
Before the wax solidifies completely, you can add dried herbs, lavender flowers, citrus slices, cinnamon or cloves. Not only You will give the candle an original look, but also strengthen its scent. After solidification, it is enough to shorten the wick to 0.5 cm, and your home aromasvíček is ready for use.
Herbs, smell and atmosphere
And what herbs to choose? For example, lavender calms down and helps in falling asleep, mint and eucalyptus refreshes the air and cleans the mind. Citrus essences stimulate and improve mood while cinnamon and clove give the interior a warm and spicy tinge. If you long for a fresh atmosphere with a touch of forest, bet on rosemary or sage.
