The Austrian Hotel Association (ÖHV) sees tourism companies increasingly harmful fake reviews on the web and therefore calls for the government to intervene. “A few poor reviews catapult companies back on platforms, they prevent business qualifications and ruin the pricing. Platforms usually react very slowly or not at all. Politicians are no longer allowed to watch,” said ÖHV general secretary Markus Gratzer.
