President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) said on Friday (8) that deputies and senators who occupied the boards of the House and Senate should lose their mandate. The statement was made during a federal investment announcement event in Acre, with direct criticism of the opposition.
“Who should have impeachment are these deputies and senators who are trying to strike so as not to allow the House and Senate, true traitors of the country,” Lula told Senator Sérgio Petecão (PSD-AC) and asking him not to support the impeachment request against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the Supreme Court (STF).
Speech occurs after opposition parliamentarians (PL), determined by Moraes this week. The group pressures Senate President David Alcolumbre (Union-AP), to guide the minister’s impeachment.

Criticism of Bolsonarism in Congress
Lula also criticized the behavior of part of parliamentarians, attributing to Bolsonaro the rise of a more aggressive and media policy.
“The Bolsonaro opened the magic lamp, and did not leave the Aladdin: what was rotten in this country for politics. Today, deputy no longer makes speech: take his cell phone, record his face, speak a nonsense and thinks he is doing politics,” he said.
