Police spokesman explained that shooting at the well -known square occurred at approximately 1.20 am local time (7.20 h). During the shooting, an 18-year-old woman suffered minor neck injuries and two men aged 19 and 65 suffered injuries to the lower limbs. They were transported to the hospital and, according to the police, there is no life -threatening injuries.

Given the age of the perpetrator, the police did not disclose his name and the accusations have not yet been raised. “The attacker was taken into police custody and the firearm was secured,” the spokesman added. AFP claims that Saturday’s shooting occurred at the intersection of 44 streets and the seventh Avenue, in the center of the theater district of the city, popular among tourists. At the end of July there was a similar incident in New York. At that time, the shooter killed four people, and apparently turned the gun against himself and took life in one of the skyscrapers in the New York district of Manhattan. One of the victims was a cop.
