According to MRE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) And Mapa (Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock), the measure represents “an important achievement” for the country, which is already the largest exporter of beef in the world.
In addition, “strengthens the commercial partnership with Indonesia, which in 2024 imported US $ 4.2 billion in Brazilian agricultural products, especially from the sugarcane and soybean complexes, fibers and textile products”.
With about 283 million inhabitants, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. The increase in population income and the expansion of the urban middle class has boosted the consumption of beef in the country in recent years.
The federal government states that, with the inclusion of Indonesia, Brazil has reached 402 open markets since the beginning of 2023.
