During the press conference preceding the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky’s clothing was commented again – this time, in a positive way.
The same journalist who had questioned Zelensky’s costume on the last visit intervened and said with enthusiasm: “President Zelensky is fabulous in this fact!”
Donald Trump replied immediately, remembering that he had also praised the style of the Ukrainian leader, and, touching him on his shoulder, he added: “This journalist was the same who criticized him the last time he was here.”
“I remember,” said Zelensky, humorous, with a smile, before receiving an apology from the journalist, recognizing the previous episode, which had been played globally as an embarrassing moment for the Ukrainian President.
Later, when the journalist began to put another question to the two leaders, Zelensky interrupted him with humor: “But you are in the same fact,” causing laughter in the room, with Trump agreeing.
“I changed, you don’t,” threw the Ukrainian President, drawing new laughter and relaxing the conference environment.
