The Slovenian community in the Italian city of Muggia is concerned about the intention of the Neo -Nazi movement Forza Nuova, whose activists want to patrol the streets This port city near the border with Slovenia. Their plans are a response to recent reports of violent incidents with the participation of foreigners. TASR informs about this on the basis of Tuesday’s report by STA.
In Slovenian, the publishing daily Primorski Dnevnik wrote that Forza Nuova decided to “restore order” on the streets of Muggie after almost everyday reports on violent incidents that allegedly committed foreigners this summer. Fiorella Benčičová from the local community in an interview with the daily pointed out that such “deviation from democratic values is very dangerous.”
Prima’s news portal Prima on its site mentioned An incident in which a local 22-year-old resident was allegedly attacked by a group of approximately 15 young foreigners. The incident caused great outrage among the locals. The portal also said that in Muggia several other violent incidents have occurred in recent days, which included groups of adult Italians attacking young foreigners.
In her statement, Forza Nuova criticized “the inaction and hypocrisy of right -wing policy, which condemns street incidents on social networks, while legalizing the status of 500,000 migrants in government benches. Forza Nuova claims that the failure of “such an approach” to be seen every day – “for young second or third generations – through the decline, violence and absence of willingness to integrate”. The Neo -Nazi Party also turned to the inhabitants of the city to join its initiative.
Forza Nuova was founded in 1997, promoting nationalist ideology and traditional values, often criticizing immigration and multiculturalism. It is known for its radicalism and occasional violence or provocations. The Italian government and most political parties consider it a marginal extremist group.
