For months, prosecutors have been conducting Operation Red Line, which has as its object the investigation of crimes of armed criminal organization, drug trafficking and money laundering. A few days ago, information indicated that one of the investigated would be associated with the leadership of the. Sérgio Luiz de Freitas Filho, 44, is the “number 3” in the hierarchy of the criminal organization, being one of the most sought after criminals in Brazil. With the nickname “Mijão”, he evolved inside the CCP and his main focus on the streets is to harm the investigations of the São Paulo prosecutor. He would have devised and put into practice a plan to kill prosecutor Amauri Silveira Filho.
Those involved would have financed and arranged the purchase of vehicles and weapons and hiring operators to execute an ambush to the prosecutor. But the plan was discovered by the prosecutor, who identified the articulators and financiers. The judge of the 4th Criminal Court of the Campinas County, Caio Ventosa Chaves, welcomed Gaeco’s requests and issued three temporary arrest warrants and four search and seizure warrants, which were fulfilled by Baep and MPSP teams.
Two entrepreneurs were arrested in the vehicle and transport trade business. But Mijão, appointed as a member of the final tune of the CCP and one of the major operators of drug trafficking in Brazil, for years, was not found. He is believed to be hiding in Bolivia, where he continues to control trafficking and money laundering schemes.
