Part of the Paris region is on yellow alert for storms until 22:00
Twenty percent of the flights scheduled at Orly Airport in Paris, between 15:30 and 23:30, were canceled due to a storm that is expected to last part of the night, the French Civil Aviation Authority said on Friday.
In a statement released shortly after 3:30 pm, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) reported interruptions in the air operation, both in matches and arrivals, and urged passengers to contact the airlines for details about their flights.
Contacted by AFP, the Paris Aéroports Group (ADP) indicated that it was increasing “the number of employees available to assist travelers”, as well as providing continuous updates on the site.
The ADP group also claimed to be prepared to extend the opening hours of the stores.
According to the ‘Météo-France website, part of the Paris region is on yellow warning for storms until 22:00.
