This data is underlined in the balance of the operational activity of the Public Security Police (PSP) between August 23 and 29, the week when a Case of domestic violence that occurred in Machico, Island of Madeiragained dimension, due to the dissemination of the images of the aggressions, captured by surveillance chambers.
O suspicion of these 35 -year -old aggressions, was in pre -trial detention after the first judicial interrogation was present.
The images of Aggressions, which took place in the presence of the victim’s son and the aggressor, 9, were captured by video surveillance chambers in the victim’s house and widespread on social networks.
This case even led the regional secretary of inclusion, youth and labor, Paula Margarido, to express themselves “deeply shocked”, ensuring that “all the necessary steps were adopted to ensure the protection and monitoring of the victim and their household”.
However, in the balance sheet of weekly activity, PSP also highlights 251 arrests for road crimes, 42 for crimes against property (theft, theft and circumvents), 11 for illegal immigration and 49 for drug trafficking, having been seized 5,150 individual doses of drugs.
