Geneva – According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), more than a billion people live with a mental disorder. This is almost every seventh person. More than every one hundredth of death worldwide is based on suicide, and 20 attempts at suicide would come to every suicide, the WHO report on mental health says worldwide. Their latest figures are from 2021 when 727,000 people worldwide committed suicide.
