Paolla Diaz and Hevelin Lorys report similar episodes: contacts made by the singer for social networks, promises of musical partnerships and meetings that, they said, ended in violence
Nivardo Paz, known behind the scenes of the countryman for composing songs for artists such as, and became the center of a serious complaint. He was accused of sexual harassment and rape by two singers, Paolla Diaz and Hevelin Lorys, in reports aired by Record’s Sunday Spectacular program.
The two victims did not know until their complaints came to public. Both report similar episodes: contacts made by Nivardo by social networks, promises of musical partnerships and meetings that they said ended in violence.
Who is Nivardo Paz
Born in Itainópolis, inside, Nivardo Paz is a known name behind the scenes of country music. Author of great hits such as relapses, of the duo Henrique & Juliano, arrest without grid and invasions – songs composed in partnership with Maiara & Maraisa and played by Jorge & Mateus – he has consolidated himself as one of the most sought after composers in recent years. In addition, he has worked in Simone & Simaria’s music production and, along with Simaria, signs the hit Meu guitar and our dog, which marked the album Bar of the colleagues.
Paolla Diaz’s report
Paolla Diaz said that the composer sought her after hearing one of his compositions. According to her, he would have stated that artists such as Simone Mendes, Maiara & Maraisa and were looking for new songs, and praised the singer’s work.
The meeting between the two took place at Nivardo’s apartment, where, according to Paolla, the atmosphere has already made her uncomfortable. “When I came across him, he had a few costumes and scared. I got in shock,” he said. She reported that the composer offered a drink, that she refused, and tried to stop her from leaving. Despite this, she managed to leave the scene and called the police.
Nivardo was arrested in the act, but was released after paying bail. The process, however, was filed for lack of evidence. The singer reopened the complaint and stated that not all evidence was recorded in the original bulletin.
A Denuncia of Hevelin Lorys
The second accusation came from also singer Hevelin Lorys, who, seeing Paolla’s complaint, decided to make public what happened. According to her, contact with Nivardo began with the proposal to record an EP and DVD, with the promise of involvement of artists such as Lauana Prado and Simaria.
The meeting this time was scheduled in a hotel. Hevelin reports that he accepted a drink and, from there, lost consciousness. “When I gave faith of everything, I was in my panties, under the shower and started to cry asking him not to do anything,” he said. According to her, Nivardo touched her and referred to her as an “angel.”
The composer presented a different version: he said the singer was very drunk and just tried to help her. He denied taking advantage of the situation and said that the audio, in which he apparently admitting that he acted improperly, was recorded under the influence of alcohol.
Negative and repercussion
In his defense, Nivardo denies any sexual intent in the meetings and classifies the complaints as false. About Paolla, he said he was dressed normally and that he tried nothing. Regarding Hevelin, he said he took care of her while she was sick and that the lines recorded in audio should not be taken into account because of drunkenness.
Silvana Campos, lawyer of the two singers, stressed that the artists whose names were cited by Nivardo have no connection with the denounced episodes. According to her, although the composer has contact with big names in the country, it is unlikely that these artists have knowledge about the denounced behavior.
