King Abdallah reiterated her today that he categorically rejects “every Israeli measure to annex the West Bank and oblige them to leave” on the occasion of his talks in Abu Dhabi with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed Bin.

The Jordanian monarch made this statement after many Israeli officials implied that Israel may proceed with the annexation of large areas to the occupied West Bank, thereby reacting to the intention of Western countries to officially recognize its state.

According to the palace’s announcement, “any plan for the future of Gaza that would include the movement of the population or its separation from the West Bank.”

Abdallah and Al Nahian also expressed their opposition to the plans to expand Jewish settlements on the West Bank, complaining that “Israeli positions and announcements are a threat to the national sovereignty of the states in the region”. They also rejected “the Israeli plans to perpetuate the occupation of the Gaza Strip”.

The king has stated many times that. The UAE, who normalized his relations with Israel in 2020, warned last Wednesday that the attempt to attach western territory is a “red line”.

Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the recognition of the Palestinian state from Western countries may push Israel to take “unilateral measures”.
