Heir broke with the royal family in 2020, but says he would like reconciliation with his father, who faces a cancer

On July 9, a meeting in London between the king’s head of the King, Tobyn Andreae, and Harry’s new public relations in charge, Meredith Maines, rekindled speculation. The Mail on Sunday posted a photo of the meeting.
‘Possible reconciliation’
According to The Mirror, the king and his son can meet this week. “A reconciliation is possible,” said royal historian and commentator Ed Owens. “For his reputation, after his death, a reconciliation with his son would be seen as very positive,” he added to AFP.
The 40-year-old Prince will attend on Monday night in London to the Beneficent Beneficent Gala, which supports children with disabilities. Godfather of the organization for 17 years, will make a speech and give a prize to a girl.
Earlier, on Monday, Harry visited the west of London, where he left flowers in the grave of his grandmother, the queen, who died three years ago.
On Tuesday, he will go to (northern England), where he will visit a youth recording studio and announce “a donation” to another organization, Children in Need, which fights against children’s violence. “The big question, if they meet (Charles III and Harry), would be: Where?” Asked Joe Little, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, a monthly magazine on royalty.
Contradictions
Little considers that the king wants reconciliation, but points to the contradictions of a prince who openly criticizes the royal family and publicly calls for an approximation.
After renouncing his real obligations and moving to his wife Meghan in 2020, Harry gave an interview to the American talk show star in 2021, implying that some members of the royal family are racist.
In early 2023, Harry published his memories, “what’s left,” criticizing his brother William, his sister -in -law Catherine and also Camilla, his stepmother. The prince also began, and lost a judicial battle in the UK to obtain police protection, with the same security conditions as when he was an active member of the royal family. “My father no longer talks to me because of this security issue,” he confessed in May.

For Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, a “private” meeting, far from the press, could only be the beginning of a long process full of obstacles. Above all, taking into account, according to Fitzwilliams, that William does not seem to be at all ready for it.
