Glimpsing advances and next steps of integration between Acre and Peru, on Monday afternoon, 8, Governor Gladson Camelí brought together state secretaries and government representatives to discuss recent advances.

Deputy Governor Mailza Assis, who led the recent institutional mission to the neighboring country, presented the main results of the international agenda, held in Lima and other Peruvian cities, highlighting strategic projects for the joint development of the two regions.
During the trip, the acrean entourage visited municipalities such as Pucallpa and Atalaya, where he maintained meetings with mayors, parliamentarians and representatives of the local productive sector. Among the topics discussed, highlighted structuring works are highlighted, such as the proposal of the Bioceanic Railroad, which would connect Peru to Brazil, as well as new road and air connections, including the possibility of creating a route between Cruzeiro do Sul and the capital of Peru, Lima.

The Secretary of State for Planning, Ricardo Brandão, stressed the transformative role of the railroad: “It can establish itself by joining Pucallpa and Cruzeiro do Sul, opening a range of strengthening for both regions, especially in the viability of environmental sustainability resources, such as limestone”.

Faced with the placements, the Governor of Acre encouraged the establishment of connections with international governments: “We must always seek the development of our region, benefiting every resident that lives here. This is even more positive when we can reconcile efforts with our neighboring countries. Tell me to always strengthen these fruitful bonds.”

For Deputy Governor Mailza Assis, cooperation between nations is urgent and strategic: “This union is a chance to boost economic and social development, as well as ensuring more security and dignity for communities that live in isolation today. This is a collective dream that needs to come true,” he said.
The holder of the State Secretariat of Industry, Science and Technology (Seict), Assurbanipal Mesquita also participated in the conversation and at the opportunity pointed to the future participation of the state at the International Expocruz 2025 fair, in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. In partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), the Government of Acre conducts a work to promote the region and partner companies, exposing the potential of the region and encouraging local investment.
