Vienna – domestic car buyers rose sharply on the gas in August. The new registrations increased by a quarter of the year after they rose by a third in July. The bottom line was 10.7 percent more new cars in the first eight months than in the same period of the previous year. 189,370 cars came on the streets. 260,233 pieces were registered across all vehicles, 3.4 percent more than 2024.
