A tight majority in parliament
Five pages will have a large majority of 87 deputies in the 169-member parliament (storting), which is a decline compared to the current 100 mandates. The remaining 82 chairs will occupy a right -wing block.
The main opposition party in the current elections became the anti -immigration party of progress (FRP), which doubled the profit from the elections in 2021 to 23.9 percent. She overtook the conservative party (H) of former Prime Minister Erna Solberg, who, with 14.6 percent of the votes, achieved its worst result in 20 years.
Elections and participation
The new composition of the legislature was decided by approximately four million voters. According to the Election Commission, it reached 78.8 percent.
The main pre -election topics were concerns about the rising cost of living, tax or the quality of public services, but also instability in international politics as a result of wars in Ukraine and in the Gaze and the return of Donald Trump for the post of US President.
