US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Tuesday that he is confident that the Supreme Court will support the reciprocal tariffs of the country’s president Donald Trump and has re-criticized the Federal Reserve (Fed, the US Central Bank).
“Fed should recalibrate interest,” he said in an interview with Fox Businessclaiming that the US BC has “made a lot of mistakes” in recent years.
Bessent also explained that his opinion article about the Fed was not a plan for the new board of the institution, but “a plan for the Fed to value independence.”

“I have plans to write something about the dollar and I will write about how we can keep the dominance of the American currency,” added the secretary.
