In the same month, the county registered 11.1% of the total overnight in Portugal, becoming responsible for more than one third of the Algarve tourist movement. Economic impact and strategies

The mayor of Albufeira, José Carlos Rolo, considered these results “encouraging for the rest of the year”, assigning the performance to the quality and diversity of the hotel offer. Breaking of traditional seasonality

Roll has also highlighted the efforts made to counteract seasonality. Explains the portal that initiatives, such as the holding of sports and cultural events outside the high season have contributed to more regular tourism throughout the year.

These measures reduced dependence on summer months, making Albufeira less vulnerable to seasonal variations and strengthening their position as a reference destination.

Far beyond the summer holidays

Albufeira’s appeal is not exhausted in temporary tourism. It refers to the same source that the city has attracted permanent residents, including international communities, by combining climate, quality of life, schools and easy access to Faro Airport.

The real estate offer follows this demand, with options ranging from apartments in tourist enterprises to housing with Marina. This diversity ensures that the city continues to respond to different profiles of visitors and residents.
