A 12-year-old walked 12 km barefoot with various bruises on his body to escape the abuse of his family. It had been raped for not complying with household chores. Mother of the victim and partner were identified.

According to, the boy had bruises on the neck and face.
In PSP, the child will have confirmed that he was assaulted, by family members, for not having fulfilled housework that had been attributed to it.
The PSP referred the boy to the hospital of Aveiro; having been admitted to a hospital unit as a prevention measure and to ensure their safety.
According to CM, the PSP signaled the case to the Aveiro Children and Youth Protection Commission (CPCJ). The case was also communicated to the GNR District Command, because the aggressions will have been allegedly practiced in a housing in an area of jurisdiction of the Republican National Guard.
Following the steps of an investigation on suspicions of abuse, the PSP has already identified the victim’s mother, as well as his partner.
