Elisabet Lann, a newly named Sweden Health Minister, lived an unexpected moment on her first day of functions. During a news conference in Stockholm last Tuesday, the ruler passed out after making her presentation speech alongside other members of the executive.
Immediately, people present at the scene provided assistance and Lann was removed from the room. A few minutes later, he returned to reassure everyone, explaining that he had suffered a sudden drop in blood glucose.
The Swedish government has confirmed in an official statement that the minister is well, stable and without any serious risk to health.
