Base salary increase should be 3.5% next year. But the technology sector is above average.
The base salary should have an average increase of 4.12% this year but next year this climb will slow down.
According to the data shared by consultant Korn Ferry, the salary increase In 2026, in Portugal, it will be 3,5%; It is a descent of more than 0.6 percentage points.
The human resources consultant details: “The estimated salary increase to 2026 is 3.5% in base salary. Although inflation remains the main factor to influence salary increases, there is a significant correction compared to previous years, with a reduction of 0.62 percentage points (from 4.12% by 2025 to 3.5% in 2026) in the forecast of increment”.
Adds that, according to the company, the sector of technology should have an above average wage rise next year: 5,2%.
“Talent” is missing between technological companies. And there are executives capable of “leading in a rapidly transformation sector and supporting the adoption of emerging technologies”.
Other sectors that stand out in the climbs of salaries, at least in forecasts, are the health (4,2%) e transportation (4%).
At the other extreme are the turismo (climbing 2%) and services (2,6%).
