Fux voted to acquit crimes from: attempted violent abolition of the democratic rule of law and coup d’état

Alexandre Ramagem was the last of the defendants to have their accusations analyzed by the minister, and like five other accused, had Fux in his favor, who voted to innocent him of the accusations. Fux voted to acquit crimes from: attempted violent abolition of the democratic rule of law and coup d’état.

For Fux, the criminal action in relation to the federal deputy and former director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) must be suspended in relation to all crimes attributed to him, and not only those who occurred after his diploma. According to the minister, the crimes are permanent, that is, they continued to occur even after the diploma.

The session began around 9 am and ended around 11 pm. The STF minister is third of the five members of the first class to vote. Cármen Lúcia and Cristiano Zanin are still missing. The trial is expected to be completed by Friday (12).
