The Secretary of the Civil House, Valtim José, and the political articulator of the City Hall, Rennan Biths, detailed, on Tuesday (17), the actions of the Executive to meet the demands of public transport in the capital. According to them, the main objective is to improve the service without increasing the tariff for the population.

“Of course, leader Rennan Biths had a meeting with our mayor this morning, and he asked us to accompany our colleague, Secretary Renan Bites, from political articulation, to settle some doubts from our fellow councilors of our base,” said Valtim José.
The secretary explained that the main questions presented by the councilors were clarified during the meeting.
“The question even they had was remedied, and all right. We are also here to contribute to society. And for that we have our base, which has the greatest affection, the greatest respect. We have this basis to help us there in the executive, our mayor Bocalom,” he said.
Rennan Biths reinforced the City’s commitment to improve public transport without burdening users.
“The mayor has made an effort along with the base to implement all actions, but without generating any increase in the fare for the user. Who most need public transportation is the students and the workers, and this has been a flag of the mayor: to make all the effort along with the base so that the population has no tariff increase,” he said.
Biths detailed that the executive absorbs, as far as possible, the increase in the subsidy, and that the proposal also aims to charge improvements from the companies that provide the service.
“We work with two goals. The first is not to increase the fare for the user, while we can charge the company improvements in the service that is offered to the population. This was the main purpose of this moment here,” he explained.
Among the actions already planned are the reinforcement of the amount of buses in specific lines at peak times, especially to serve students, and the expansion of the percentage of vehicles with air conditioning.
“All these claims were well welcomed by the mayor, who has this goal, along with the base, to provide an increasingly better quality service to the population,” concluded Biths.
