As reported, the government wants to relieve tenants and has now brought in a corresponding package in the Council of Ministers. As already announced in the government program, indexing the rents should also be limited for the next and next year, one percent in one percent in 2026 and two percent in 2027. At least that applies to those apartments that fall under the full application, i.e. before 1945 and are therefore already capped, according to the paper. The suspension of the index adjustment for 2025 was decided in spring.
